An examination of the S&T development strategy for Chinese West |

| Abstract: | The S&T development strategy is one of the most important parts in the grand development program for Western China. At first, the paper analyzes the three challenges and three problems in the S&T development of the sprawling Chinese West. Based on this, both a framework for western China's S&T system and some key measures for its implementation are presented. Finally, the operational mechanism for the system is suggested. |
