| 摘 要： | 运用文献资料法、田野调查法、问卷调查法、专家访谈法等,对西北少数民族传统体育的特征和发展趋势进行研究,结果表明：西北少数民族传统体育的特征是地域性、竞技性、节庆性、艺术性、休闲娱乐性、宗教关联性。西北少数民族传统体育发展趋势是：强化少数民族传统体育的竞技性,走向科学化、规范化的道路;借助传媒功能,西北少数民族传统体育将得到大力推广进入各级学校,将获得更大范围和更深层次的交流与融合;少数民族体育旅游资源将进一步得到开发和利用,将走向社会化、产业化的道路。
