| 摘 要： | 可能性情态和模糊限定语语义上具有相容性,以系统功能语言学关于情态的理论为基础,探讨可能性情态和模糊限定语在学术语篇中的使用。研究结果显示这类用语可以使学术作者在审慎地呈现知识的同时,又能成功地构建学术语篇的人际框架,实现作者和读者之间的互动,体现了功能语法所主张的语言概念和人际功能,从而加深了对可能性情态和模糊限定语在语义、语用和语篇层面的理解。

| Abstract: | Based on modality theory framed in systemic functional linguistics,and inspired by the semantic compatibility between modality and hedges,this paper makes an exploration of the usage of possibility-type modality and hedges in academic discourse.The analysis shows that by employing these wordings,it is possible for academic writers to present their knowledge stance with caution and construct an interpersonal framework oriented to the interaction between the writers and their readers,which demonstrates ideational and interpersonal functions termed by systemic functional grammar and sheds light on the semantic,pragmatic and textual dimensions of possibility-type modality and hedges in academic discourse. |
