| 摘 要： | 定性与定量研究是方法论体系中两种主要的方法,它们周密的钻研历程在自然科学与人文社会学科中被广泛应用。定性研究与定量研究二者并不是孤立存在的,而是互为补充、互相支持的。前者回答了"是什么"的问题,后者回答了"有多少"的问题。通过概括性地介绍定性与定量研究,分析二者的对比和发展态势以及如何被应用到翻译研究中,可以使研究者在研究中根据自身需要,更好地选择合适的方法,并对自己的研究有更明确的认识和把握。

| Abstract: | Qualitative research and quantitative research are two important methods in the methodology system. They are widely used in the natural sciences and humanities social sciences because of the rigorous research process. They are not isolated, but complement and support each other. The former answers ＂what it is＂, while the latter answers ＂How much it is＂. With a general introduction of qualitative research and quantitative research, and analyzing the comparison and development trend as well as how to use them in translation research, one can prefer the best suitable method to his own research. |
