| 摘 要： | 在中国早期现代化的征程中，张謇是一个伟大的开拓者，是一个公认的英雄。但是，由于中国早期现代化环境的恶劣，以及主体自身的传统文化包袱过重，张謇又不得不扮演一个悲剧性的历史人物。解读《张謇与南通区域早期现代化研究》一书，其主要目的是要解决当代中国现代化进程中出现的新问题。正是这种“当代史”的需要，要求张謇早期现代化实践的历史再度发言。

| Abstract: | During the early stage of the modernization drive in China,Zhang Jian was a great pioneer and a generally acknowl- edged hero.But,as China's environment in the early period of the modernization drive was abominable,and because he was o- verburdened with his traditional culture,Zhang Jian became a tragic historical personage.Reading and commenting on A Great Tragic Hero:A Study of Zhang Jian and Early Modernization of Nantong,we can find that the author's main intention is to make effort to solve the new problems cropping up in the course of the modernization drive in contemporary China. |
