交际法在中国大学英语教学中应用之研究

摘    要:交际法在上个世纪80年代被引入中国外语界后受到人们的普遍欢迎,并在中小学教学法中占有重要地位,但它在大学英语课堂上却受到冷遇,究其原因,除了教育体制等因素以外,中西方不同的文化差异和思维方式等文化根源才是导致这种现象的根本内因。用荷兰人类学家Hofstede提出的“价值观维度”等理论,探讨文化根源给交际法在中国的生存土壤带来的决定性影响。

Abstract:Communicative Approach, since it was introduced into China in 1980s, has been welcomed and used nationwide, esp. in English teaching of primary and elementary levels. However, it wasn' t that popular in College English teaching. Besides educational system can partly explain the phenomenon, the essential causes come from the differences between Chinese and Western cultures as well as the different modes of thinking and learning styles. Form this perspective the paper discusses the vital factors that decide the fatal failure Communicative Approach encounters in Chinese College English teaching.
