摘    要:基于概念隐喻在高级英语教材中的普遍性,该文探讨了概念隐喻理论在高级英语教学中应用的必要性和可行性,指出隐喻能力的培养的必要性。该文重点阐述了在高级英语课程中应用概念隐喻理论促进词汇习得、篇章理解和写作能力培养的意义。

Abstract:Based on the frequent occurrence of conceptual metaphor in Advanced English texts,this paper explores the necessity and feasibility of the application of conceptual metaphor theory into the teaching of advanced English.It points out the necessity of metaphorical competence cultivation and emphasizes on the application of conceptual metaphor theory into Advanced English course to improve students' vocabulary acquisition,discourse comprehension and writing ability.
