| Abstract: | Based on the frequent occurrence of conceptual metaphor in Advanced English texts,this paper explores the necessity and feasibility of the application of conceptual metaphor theory into the teaching of advanced English.It points out the necessity of metaphorical competence cultivation and emphasizes on the application of conceptual metaphor theory into Advanced English course to improve students' vocabulary acquisition,discourse comprehension and writing ability. |
