| 摘 要： | 托玛斯哈代继承并革新了希腊悲剧和莎士比亚悲剧中的命运观念,结合19世纪英国的社会现实,形成了别具一格的命运观。本文试从哈代重要的悲剧小说《卡斯特桥市长》出发,逐层深入分析哈代体现在其作品中的命运观念,以期更好的理解哈代的创作和思想。

| Abstract: | Thomas Hardy inherits and renews the concept of destiny of the Greek tragedies and Shakespeare's tragedies. Combining the social changes in the 19th century in England, he obtains his own unique philosophy of destiny. This thesis is based on The Mayor of Casterbridge, one of his most important tragic novels, and tries to analyze the philosophy of destiny of Hardy in order to help build a better understanding of his works and ideas. |
