外语教学中的文化教育

摘    要:语言和文化是个整体,语言教学和文化教育不可分割。在外语教学中进行文化教育理所当然。由于国际交往日趋频繁,跨文化交际能力在某种程度上成为衡量现代人才的标准,在外语教学中进行文化教育尤为必要。文化教育的内容可分为语言行为(或非语言行为)、行为准则和核心行为准则等三个层次导入。文化教育要求外语教师对语言与文化有基本的理解、明确文化教育的目的并培养学生对外国文化的正确态度。

Abstract:Language and culture are two integral parts of the whole, and language teaching and cultural instruction cannot be separated. It is only too natural to give cultural instruction in the teaching of foreign language. Nowadays, ow- ing to the fact that international interaction is increasingly frequent and the competence of cross--cultural communication, in some degree, becomes a criterion by which contemporary talent is judged, it is especially necessary to give cultural in- struction in the teaching of foreign language. The knowledge of cultural instruction given to students is arranged on three levels--linguistic behavior (or nonlinguistic behavior), cultural norms, and key cultural norms. Cultural instruction re- quires teachers to have a basic understanding of the relationship between language and culture, be clear about the purpose of cultural instruction and develoo students' correct attitudes towards foreign ulture.
