| 摘 要： | 英语中形似介词的副词小品词是一类比较特殊的词.它既有副词的某些特征,又具有介词的词形.它往往与前面的动词形成修饰和补充说明的语义关系,本身不能单独充当句子成分;它形似介词,又没有实体意义,却不能独自带宾语,与动词构成的是只有一个论元的单位述谓结构.

| Abstract: | Preposition-like adverbial particles are a special class of words in English. They share the features of both adverbs and prepositions. A preposition-like adverbial particle often modifies and completes the meaning of the proceeding verb to form the semantic relationship, but the adverbial particle cannot function as a member of the sentence; it looks like a preposition that neither has an independent meaning nor its own object. The preposition-like adverbial particle and the verb it follows form a single predication with only one argument. |
