| 摘 要： | 采用文献法、逻辑分析法，结合人类学、民族学、民俗学、地理学等多学科知识，对我国少数民族“文化性格”与体育形成的关系进行深入探讨。“文化性格”主要是不同人群处在不同的地理空间，并长期受人文地理的影响而产生的独具地域特色的价值观念、行为模式和文化心理。我国少数民族大多居住在地理上的边缘地带，由于这些地区地理环境相对恶劣，经济、文化也较落后，因此形成了有别于中原内地的具有鲜明地方特色的少数民族体育文化。我国少数民族众多，地理空间非常大，文化实体多样而复杂，目前研究难以面面具到。为了便于分析研究，将少数民族体育大体上划分为南、北两大区域，或称两大少数民族体育文化圈，对这两大区域体育形成与少数民族“文化性格”关系的发生作一历史性的回顾与疏理，并对两者进行了比较。
