摘    要:本文从介绍认知语言学中隐喻理论入手,着重讨论隐喻理论对英语词汇教学的指导作用。最后归纳出如何运用其来指导词汇教学。掌握基本范畴词汇的隐喻意义,重视隐喻性习语、谚语文化背景的教学,利用隐喻思维方式,掌握新兴词汇。

Abstract:The paper discusses metaphor theory of cognitive linguistics as well as its guidance for English words teaching.The theoretical foundation of metaphor,which Can be applied to vocabulary teaching,is introduced.Some enlightenments about teaching vocabulary in terms of metaphor are presented:attach importance to teaching the dictionary meaning of words as well as the implicit meaning suggested by metaphor.From the viewpoint of cognition,teaching polysemies and the cultural connotation of English words should be taken seriously.
