摘    要:关于伏羲和女娲的神话 ,自 194 2年闻一多发表《伏羲考》奠定了以后 6 0年图腾论解释的基本思路。“图腾”在人类学上本来就是一个泛化的概念 ,用它解释中国文化更是方凿圆枘 ,中国神话理应从中国历史文化因素的综合中求得解释。伏羲、女娲都是战国文献中新出现的人物 ,没有任何记载可以证明他们的故事传自史前社会。伏羲、女娲和洪水神话是大禹治水的派生或翻版。西南少数民族关于羲娲兄妹相婚再造人类的故事并非所谓血缘婚残余 ,而是在道教传播中“种民”之说的神话表述

Abstract:For the myths of Fu Xi and Nu Wa, the theory of totem has been established as the basic train of thought for the following 60 years since Wen Yiduo published his paper "The Testual Study of Fu Xi". A much extended concept in anthropological study, "totem" to Chinese culture is a square peg to a round hole. Conversely, an interpretation of Chinese mythology can only be sought by a synthesization of various elements in Chinese historical culture. In fact, Fu Xi and Nu Wa did not appear as figures in Chinese mythology in the historical records of pre history society until the Period of Warring Kingdoms. Thus, the myths of Fu Xi and Nu Wa and that of the Flood can be regarded as an extensive reproduction of Da Yu's Taming the Waters. The folk tale among the southwestern ethnics that the married Fu Xi and Nu Wa as brother and sister remade the human race is not merely remnants of consanguineous marriage but a mythical representation of the view of "racial nation".
