| 摘 要： | 本文从我国旧志没有索引,首轮省、市、县新志绝大多数不设置索引以及方志界对书后索引比较陌生的实际情况出发,论述了续修地方志编制索引的必要性和紧迫性,主张将索引当作志书体裁之一,从第二轮志书编纂起实行迷、记、志、传、图、表、录、索引八体并用,以志为主的编纂体例,并且认为计算机辅助编制模式促成了地方志书普及索引的可行性.
