| 摘 要： | 现代社会,是一个空前强调社会责任、呼唤社会责任的社会,同时,又面临着社会责任的空前不足或缺位.作为公共事业的公共图书馆,由于其服务面向的大众性、公共性、长期性和务实性,其承担的社会责任更具体、日常、久远而直接,其负载的使命、期待、诉求、批评更为首当其冲.因而,全面厘清当代公共图书馆的社会责任,不仅是当代公共图书馆建设发展科学定位的现实需要,更是当代公共图书馆服务社会、促进发展、真正实现其功能价值的关键所在.在新形势下,图书馆应该重新审视自己的职能,做好分内应做而还未充分做好的事,全面地承担起应该担当的社会责任.

| Abstract: | Modern society emphasizes and calls for social responsibilities while there is a lack or absence of social re- sponsibilities. Public libraries, as public organizations serving the mass for a long time, shoulder long and direct, daily and concrete responsibilities, so that the whole society pays more attention to them. This paper has studied the ten social responsibilities of public libraries in the modern society as to help public libraries better serve the society and perform their oublic functions. |
