| 摘 要： | 从传统修辞学分析,借代是一种修辞格,它不直接说出某人或事物的本来名称,而是通过联想,借用与其密切相关的名称或其本身的某些属性来代替;而认知语言学认为借代不仅是一种重要的修辞手法,还是一种概念现象,一种思维模式,并称之为转喻。通过对借代的理解,结合借代在新闻英语中常见模式,分析借代在新闻写作中可以使要表达的句子更加简洁凝练,信息传递更加便利和经济,从而体现其语言表达的简约性。
