摘    要:亚里士多德与孟子作为轴心时代的思想家,二者之间的差异实际上预示着中西伦理思想后来发展的不同路向。亚里士多德以理性作为至善追求的核心概念,理性不但构成了亚里士多德追求至善的逻辑起点和最终的检验标准,并将至善本身看成理性的自我展开,而情感作为低级的情欲被排除在至善追求之外。孟子以人类天生的爱亲敬长的道德情感为核心,展开了一个情感伦理系统,使道德的培养变成了一个自然而然的过程。

Abstract:Both as the ideologists of Axes-Times, the difference between Aristotle and Mencius indicated the different ways of the western and Chinese ethic. Reason was the core of Aristotle's ethic. In Aristotle's thought, it was the logical starting point and criterion of summum bonum, which was regarded by him as the self-expansion of reason. Emotion was eliminated from summun bonum. Mencius' thought was just contrary to Aristotle. He constructed an ethical system centered on man's innate ethical emotions of love for brothers and reverence for the elder. He made ethical cultivating become a natural process beyond the western power.
