| Abstract: | Puns is the rhetoric shared by both Chinese and English languages, which makes a pedestrian language full of wit and humor, pregnant with profoud meanning. The article analyzes application and function of Chinese - English puns by making a comparative study on.polysemy, homonymy and ambiquity, which constitute the composition base of Chinese - English puns. |
