| 摘 要： | 传统的史学观点普遍认为巴蜀应属同一文化,没有区别。事实上,巴蜀文化渊源不同,实质内涵各异。“巴有将,蜀有相”,巴人“少文学”,勇猛善战,“质直”“敦厚”,喜《巴渝舞》,唱《竹枝歌》,形成独特的“巴渝文化”,这与人才济济,文化发达的蜀地不可同日而语。经过长期相互融合,两地文化渐趋一同,仅在边远山区保留了丰富多彩的少数民族文化。近代,巴文化迅速崛起,大有超过蜀文化的趋势。历史上两地文化的差异,应是今日设置重庆直辖市的重要原因之一。

| Abstract: | The traditional science of history commonly views the Ba and the Shu as the same culture without difference. In fact, however, the Ba and the Shu are of different cultural origins and different essences and connotatio ns. A folk rhyme has it that "The Ba produces generals while the Shu, ministers" . The Ba people were "rarely literate", valorous and good at fighting, "straight forward" and "good natured". Moreover, they were fond of Bayu-styled Dances an d Zhuzhi songs, which shaped the distinctive "Bayu culture". However flourishing the Ba culture was in its own way, it was not comparable with the culture in the Shu, where there was agalaxy of talent with a high developed culture. Through a long-termed mutual fusion, the cultures of the two regions gradually became i dentical except for the boundary and remote mountainous areas where some rich and miscellaneous cultures of the minorities have managed to survive. In modern tim es, the culture of the Ba has gained a rapid take-off, showing every sign of ex ceeding that of the Shu. However, the historical differences between the cultures of the two regions should be taken as one of the significant reasons for establ ishing Chongqing as a municipaling directly under the Central Government. |
