| 摘 要： | 语言是文化的载体,习语又堪称是语言的精华,英汉两种语言历史悠久,不同语种的习语承载着不同的民族特色和文化信息。所以在翻译的过程中应考虑到文化的差异,尤其是习语的翻译。本文在分析了归化这种翻译方法缺点的基础上,提出了将汉语习语翻译成英文的有效的方法。

| Abstract: | Language is the carrier of culture and idiom is called the essence of language. English and Chinese both have long history, and different idioms of different languages carry different national characteristics and cultural information. So in the process of translating, cultural differences should be taken into consideration, especially in translating Chinese idioms into English. The paper is to discuss the suitable methods of translating Chinese idioms into English in the light of the analysis of disadvantages of domesticating method. |
