| 摘 要： | 西部地区民族众多，各少数民族基本上都有自己的宗教信仰，宗教教职人员作为宗教信仰中的特殊群体，其政治立场、思想状况、言行举止对信教群众有着潜移默化的影响，宗教教职人员队伍素质的高低影响到宗教能否健康的发展，关系到宗教能否与社会主义社会相适应，甚至关系到社会稳定。在新形势下，对宗教教职人员进行爱国主义教育、社会主义法制教育、道德文化及继续修养教育等，提高宗教教职人员的素质，使得宗教活动能够在宪法和法律的范围内开展，都具有重要的现实意义。
