| 摘 要： | 美国州政府的司法体制改革兴起于20世纪初。在随后近百年的时间中，各州的改革陆续进行。改革大致可分为两类：一类是统一法院管理权和清理整顿下级法院的组织机构改革，另一类是改进法官产生方式、提高法官任职资格和延长法官任期的人事制度改革。到20世纪后期，州法院的组织机构改革取得了很大的成效，但人事制度改革却没能全面铺开。这种结果与民众对两类改革的态度密切相关。
