| 摘 要： | 最早的大学是西欧中世纪城市的产物,在人类社会历史上得到普遍传播和扩展、并且发挥着越来越重要的功能和作用。识读和理解大学,离不开对大学与其所处时代和地域社会关系的考察。大学与经济的联系是大学社会关系的的基本组成部分,大学组织属性与社会经济形态紧密相关。中世纪时代农业经济支持了市场和城镇的发展,封建商品经济占主导作用的城市环境孕育和产生了大学,资本主义经济萌芽是大学发展的催化剂。西欧中世纪大学与经济形态的历史具体表现为大学与教会、大学与世俗政权、大学与自由民之间的关系状况。
