| 摘 要： | 奥茨作为美国当代文坛极负盛名的女作家,其作品得到越来越多的广泛关注和好评.尤其是其笔下对当代美国社会暴力问题的真实描写,引发了评论界毁誉参半的评价.本文以奥茨的代表作《他们》,尤其是作品中的主人公--朱尔斯为例,以崭新的视角深刻探讨了暴力问题存在的根源及作为暴力的受害者和实施者的主人公身上所体现的虚幻的美国梦.

| Abstract: | Oates is a very prominent woman writer in modern American.Her works are increasingly well known and appreciated in public,especially the violence problems which are realistically depicted by Oates.Taking Oates's masterpiece them,esp.its hero-Jules for example,the thesis analyzes in a new light the sources of violence problems and the illusory American dream embodied on Jules both as a victim and a doer of violence. |
