摘    要:隐喻作为一种认知方式,在人类的思维和语言表达中无所不在,其跨域映射的认知机制对语言学习提供了新的视角。本文从认知角度探讨隐喻理论在高职英语词汇教学中的应用,认为教师有必要在教学中培养学生隐喻能力,加强对英汉文化内涵的认知。

Abstract:Metaphor,as a way of cognition,permeates in thinking and language,and its cognitive mechanism provides a new perspective for language learning.This paper explores the application of metaphoric theory to English vocabulary teaching practice.It is necessary for teacher to guide students to construct metaphoric ability and the cognition of cultural connotation in English and Chinese.
