| Abstract: | Based on the analysis of the challenges of new information environment and digitalization the academic library faces, this paper points out that establishment of portal is an effective solution to meet the challenges. It discusses the definition,the functional goals, and the design principles of academic digital library portal. With the case study of Shantou University library, it also provides related experiences. |
