| 摘 要： | 本文从教育功能，教育与政治、经济的关系，教育与从政人才的培养，教学方法，教师工作等四个方面说明孟子对孑子教育思想的继承与发展。特别着重孟子在教育理论上提出许多创新观点，丰富了孔子教育思想，从而推进了中国古代教育思想的发展。在教育功能问题上，孔子认为，人的个性形成是通过学习和教育来实现的，从而肯定了教育的功能。孟子进一步指出，教育是人类社会必不可少的一种活动，否则人就不能超出一般动物，从而肯定了教育在提高人的价值的功能。

| Abstract: | In order to explain how Mencius succeeded the education ideas of Confucius, this thesis studies four aspects of education: its function; its relations with politics and economics; its relation with the training of officials, and the methodology and teacher's work. The paper is stressed is on Mencius' creative ideas that enriched Confucius' education ideas and promoted the progress of the old Chinese education thoughts. Confucius holds the idea that the individual personality is achieved in the process of education, but Mencius regards that education is the most important aspect of social activity, for it is the only way to make human beings humanity. |
