| 摘 要： | 托马斯·哈代的小说主要描写威塞克斯宗法制农村的生活,反映资本主义侵入英国农村后社会各方面的变化,在主题思想上经历了从"牧歌"到"悲剧"的嬗变.这种主题思想的变化既是由于时代生活的影响,也是他哲学思想变化发展的结果.

| Abstract: | Thomas Hardy' s novels mainly describe the countryside life in patriarchal clan system and reflect the change of society after the invasion of capitalism in Britain. The theme of his novel underwent the change from eclogue to tragedy, which resulted from the change of his philosophy as well as the influence of life in his time. |
