Predicting perceptions of Law School Deans' leader behavior through biographical and social distance factors
Authors:Horace E Johns
Abstract:In this study, it was found that no personal characteristic of law school deans was a predictor of their leader behavior scores; however, several of the law school faculty members' personal characteristics and social distance factors (i.e., age, academic rank, years of teaching experience, Frequency of Contact, and Intimacy of Contact) were positive predictors of their Consideration scores. Also, the faculties' ages, Frequency of Contact with the deans, and Intimacy of Contact with the deans were positive predictors of their Initiating Structure scores.
