| 摘 要： | 托马斯·斯特恩斯·艾略特是美国和英国争相拥有的名士。他兼诗人、评论家、戏剧家于一身。在美国,艾略特的论著比他的诗歌的影响更为深远。他提出了“非个人化”与“客观对应物”等新的诗歌创作原则,对现代文学批评,特别是英美新批评派及诗歌创作产生了巨大的影响,推动了诗歌创作和文艺批评的发展、繁荣。文章从四个阶段来探究艾略特文艺批评发展的轨迹。
