| 摘 要： | 拟从认知语言学的体验哲学观出发，把情态定义为说话者在与现实进行互动体验和认知加工的基础上，形成的对现实状况做出的可能性或必然性判断，以及对话语对象强加义务或对其行为给予许可、加以禁止的情感或态度。并用认知语言学的原型范畴理论分析了主要情态助动词can，may，must，should，will的原型特征。

| Abstract: | This thesis attempts to define modality from the perspective of cognitive linguistics as speaker＇s laying an obligation or his/her attitude towards the behavior conducted by the subject as well as the judgment for the necessity or possibility of the propo- sition that the sentence expresses. It also analyzes the prototypical features of primary modal verbs ＂can , may, must, should, will＂. |
