Abstract:The mechanism and the amount of corisumed energy on preparationof ultrafine powder using mechanical method are investigated according to the lin-ear elastic fracture mechanics theory. The relationship between Wticle-sim andthe amount of consumed energy is derived. The specific characteristics of ultrafinegrinding are discussed in detail. Two new concepts of limited and economicalgrinding particle-sizes are presented.
