| 摘 要： | 尤利西斯这一经典人物，在西方文学史上不断被重写。T．S．艾略特也偏爱这一主题。文章分析了艾略特所创作的一系列尤利西斯主题诗歌，指出艾略特作品中的尤利西斯形象深受但丁在《神曲》中所塑造的尤利西斯形象的影响，艾略特追随但丁的脚步，也选择了尤利西斯作为自己时代的代言人。艾略特创作了一组现代尤利西斯群像：普鲁弗洛克，小老头，弗莱巴斯，斯威尼，从而赋予了尤利西斯丰富的现代内涵。

| Abstract: | Ulysses,who is a classical hero,has been rewritten in the western literary history time and again.T.S.Eliot al- so is partial to this theme.This paper analyses a series of Eliot's poems concerning the theme of Ulysses.The paper argues that Eliot's Ulysses is deeply influenced by Dante's Ulysses in Divine Comedy.Following the footsteps of Dante,Eliot chooses Ulys- ses as the spokesman of his own age as well.Eliot creates a gallery of modern Ulysses:Prufrock,Gerotion,Phlebas and Sweeney,who are endowed with the profound modem spirit. |
