| 摘 要： | 本文通过比较某大学英语专业和非英语专业二年级321名学生英语自我概念的特点及其与英语学业成绩之间的关系，考察了英语自我概念各子维度对整体英语自我概念及英语学业成绩的影响。结果表明：英语自我概念各子维度与整体英语自我概念及英语学业成绩之间均存在显著正相关。

| Abstract: | The present study constitutes an attempt to investigate the relationship between the specific and global components of English self-concept and their effects on English academic achievements by comparing the multiple components of English self-concept and their relations with the English academic achievements of 321 College English and non-English majors in Grade 2. Results showed that all the specific components of English self-concept correlated significantly and positively with global English self-concept as well as English academic achievements. Furthermore, speaking self-concept made the largest contribution to the global English self-concept of College English majors, while vocabulary self-concept is a more powerful predictor of the global English self-concept of non-English majors. The . study also found that vocabulary and speaking self-concepts together accounted for 38.7 percent of the variance in English academic achievement of College English majors, whereas vocabulary self-concept alone explained 29.4 percent of the variance in the case of non-English majors. |
