| 摘 要： | 语言是文化的载体,文化对语言的渗透无孔不入。离开文化及其所承载的意义,语言将一无所有。语言与文化这种密不可分的关系注定翻译不只是语言的转换,更是文化的交流与移植。从理论上讲,译文应原汁原味地再现或移植原语的文化信息。然而,文化个性注定翻译中原语文化信息流失的必然性。本文试图从处理文化负载词常用的翻译技巧入手,分析文化信息流失的具体表现。

| Abstract: | Language mirrors culture. Linguistic expressions are often culturally-loaded and carry "supralingual information" or "cultural information", which indicates the inseparable relationship between language and culture. In theory, translation should reflect or transplant the alien things in a strange land expressed in the original. In translation practice, however, this just remains an unapproachable goalbecause ofthe unavoidable loss of cultural information. Basedonthe analysis of sometranslation techniques employed in dealing with culturally-loaded words, the paper attempts to point out where the loss really lies so that it can be reduced to the minimum through the translator's efforts. |
