| 摘 要： | 英语中通常用ｉｆ,ｕｎｌｅｓｓ等关联词引导的分句来表示条件;这是明示的条件句;然而,英语中还有许多其他用来表达条件概念的方法。动词不定式、分词、动名词、介词构成的短语结构,某些关系分句、时间状语分句、地点状语分句或方式状语分句以及某些虚拟语气句,某些祈使句、陈述句之后使用并列连词ａｎｄ,ｏｒ（ｅｌｓｅ）, ｏｔｈｅｒｗｉｓｅ等附加另一个陈述句的并列结构,或并列结构构成的某些谚语,或比较级ｔｈｅ ｍｏｒｅ…,ｔｈｅｍｏｒｅ…等,也能用来表示条件概念。这些表示条件的方法,我们称之为隐含的条件。英语中隐含条件通过其某种内在的语义或意念功能起着与明示的条件句相同的作用。

| Abstract: | If - or unless -clause in English is often used to express explicit condition. However, phrases with infinitive, participle, gerund and preposition, some relative clauses such as adverbial clause of time, place and manner, some subjtinctive mood sentences and some compound structures use "and", "or (else),' and "otherwise", etc. can be used to express conditional mood. Also, after imperative and declarative sentences adding other declarative sentences, proverbs with compound structures, sentence . patterns like "The more... the more..." can express the same condition. All listed above is called implied condition. Implied conditionals play the same role as the explicit ones through their connotative meaning or function. |
