| 摘 要： | 刘锡鸿坚持尊王攘夷,重本抑末的儒家学说,受到清流派李鸿藻等人的赏识,使他得为驻英副使,驻德正使。排斥洋务派李鸿章、郭嵩焘等,一再加以弹劾。不懂得文化可以交流,共同进步。他的观念,落后于不断前进的时代潮流,终被时代所淘汰。

| Abstract: | Liu Xihong who persisted in the Confucianism of"respecting the king and resisting the foreign invaders"and"putting agriculture first and commerce second"was appreciated by Li Hongzao and some other members in the uncontaminated group,which made him become the associate ambassador accredited to England and ambassador to Germany.He excluded persons such as Li Hongzhang and Guo Songtao in the group of westernization and impeached them again and again.Liu Xihong did not realize that by exchanging cultures,we could make progress together.His thoughts were behind the unceasing times and were eliminated by the times finally. |
