| Abstract: | This article introduces the basic concept of GIS, and analyses the advantages of GIS in the transportation field. According to GIS and the traffic engineering development tendency of recent years, it introduces the application researches of GIS in six aspects: the transportation plan, the road design, the traffic control, the management of the transportation facilities, the safety control of road traffic, and the application together with ITS. |
