| Abstract: | Respecting the elderly has always been one of the fine traditions of the Chinese nation.The elderly,with rich life experience and profound insights redounding to their credit,play a crucial role in advancing human civilization to great lengths.In traditional Chinese culture,the digit of ＂nine＂ is glorified,since nine is the highest odd digit signifying longevity.Thus,the ＂Chong Yang Festival＂ is celebrated on the ninth day of the ninth lunar month,and it is as such known as the Double Ninth Festival. |
