| 摘 要： | 《英语惯用法大词典》中存在着许多错误,不能真实反映英语中一些词语的惯用法。现代英语在使用过程中,有些词语的用法发生了变化,我们再也不能按传统的语法规则来衡量其用法的正误。为此,针对该词典中所存在的问题,列举大量的实例,进行分析,介绍一些词语的新用法,纠正词典中的一些不妥的说法。

| Abstract: | This paper corrects many mistakes found in A Dictionary of English Usage by making an analysis of the causes leading to these mistakes.The paper also introduces a good many examples to prove the fact that modern English has experienced some changes in usages of some words.Therefore,it is suggested that some traditional English grammatical rules should be revised to suit the changes in current usages of the English language. |
