双语教学的现实背景及对高校教学的影响

摘    要:双语教学是世界一体化下我国高等学校教学改革的一个方向。它的出现有其深刻的时代背景,一方面,教育国际化趋势客观上推动了双语教学的发展:另一方面,中国加入世贸组织对双语教学也产生积极的影响。由于采用英文版教材,对学生和教师都提高了新的要求。学生必须具备一定的专业知识以及较高的英语水平,否则可以能听不懂教师的授课内容;而教师也需具备较高的英语水平以及课程开发能力。同时,对教学改革与教学管理都会带来一定程度的影响。

Abstract:Bilingual teaching is one of the ways of teaching reform of China's higher education in the background of globalization. Its emergence reflects the profound background of the times. On one hand, the globalization trend of education pushes forward the development of bilingual teaching in reality. On the other hand, the China's entry into WTO gives rise to positive impact on the bilingual teaching. Because of adopting textbooks of English version, the bilingual teaching has set new requirements for both the teachers and the students who should be qualified for the bilingual teaching. The students should possess enough specialized knowledge and excellent English ability, or they may not catch what the teacher address. At same time, the teachers should have outstanding English ability and the ability of course development. Furthermore, the bilingual teaching may exert influence on teaching reform and teaching management to some extent. This article attempts to give tentative inquiry into the bilingual teaching.
