| 摘 要： | 传统语法学家将英语动词的时态解释为"表示时间区别的动词语法范畴"。"多时态"的支持者和"双时态"拥护者都试图证明时间和时态的一致性,这样无疑削弱了他们的定义的解释力。从认知语言学的角度出发,文章将时态定义为"动词所表示的动作或状态与参照点之间的关系的语法范畴"。以奥古斯丁和柏格森的时间观为哲学理论,文章提出"统一时态"的观点,认为英语只有一种时态,即现在时态,它包括"现联时态"和"现距时态"两种形式。

| Abstract: | Traditional grammarians defined tense as "a grammatical category expressing time distinctions".Both multi-tense holders and bi-tense advocators try to prove that there is a one-to-one correspondence between time and tense,which undoubtedly weakens their definitions’ interpreting power.From a cognitive perspective,the writer defines tense as "a grammatical category which expresses the connectiveness between an action or a state denoted by the verb and its reference point".Taking Augustine’s and Bergson’s views of time as its philosophical framework,this thesis proposes "Uni-tense" view.It asserts in English there is only one tense-the present tense,which has two forms: Present-connective Tense and Present-remote Tense. |
