| 摘 要： | 福克纳的著名短篇小说<献给爱米丽的玫瑰>自问世以来受到人们的广泛关注,学者们纷纷对该篇小说从各种角度展开了热烈的讨论,提出了自己的独特观点,焦点集中在爱米丽的悲剧成因上.本文以对文本谨慎忠实的解读为依据,针对其中一些学者的观点展开商榷,认为爱米丽的悲惨命运是由女性和作为贵族小姐的冲突造成的.

| Abstract: | "A Rose for Emily",the well-known short story by Faulkner,enjoys global popularity ever since its birth.Scholars have a heated discussion about it from different aspects and put forward their unique ideas,which mostly focus on the cause for Emily's tragedy.This paper attempts to challenge some of their ideas and brings up that Emily's tragic fate is due to,based on a cautious truthful interpretation of the text,the conflict between her role as a female and as a noblewoman. |
