摘    要:以往科拳评价中存在着以偏概全的情况,将清末人士举出的极端个别例子当作一般情形,进而否定整个科举制度的选拔效能。关注现实考试改革中出现的一些争论和问题,能使我们对科举制的了解更为客观而深入。科举制并不是像许多人印象中的那么恶劣,即“非恶制也”,应该把“科举”当作一个中性词来看待。

Abstract:In our past evaluation of the Chinese imperial examination system, there existed lopsided viewpoints. For example, many people listed those extreme cases as general situations for denying the function of selecting talents. Obviously, such evaluation is no doubt a misunderstanding of the imperial examination system. For this reason, it is necessary to review and evaluate the Chinese imperial examination system. By taking into consideration the controversies and problems in our current practice of examination system reform, we can have an objective and in-depth understanding of the imperial examination system. As a matter of fact, the imperial examination system is not an evil system but a good system. Today, we should treat the "imperial examination system" as a neutral phrase.
