大学英语课堂提问语的语用研究

摘    要:关于英语课堂提问语的研究已有大量有价值的理论和发现,这些成果对师生课堂互动实践起着重要的指导意义。然而,大量的文献表明几乎所有的研究都集中在话语类别和提问策略这两大领域,甚少对提问语本身的适切性进行研究。通过问卷调查和课堂观摩,注意到英语课堂使用的一些规约性提问语可能导致话语含义在程度或范围上的松弛与伸缩,也可能出现所指信息的多个近似选项,导致学生对课堂提问做出消极的回应或错误的回答,如沉默和答非所问。以听者为中心,从会话含义、预设和礼貌原则三个视角分析课堂提问语的语用松散性,探讨其表现形式及缺失缘由,并试图阐述如何对提问语进行语用充实,提高课堂提问效度。

Abstract:Studies on English classroom questionings have promoted a large number of theories and findings, which play a significant role in the practice of classroom interaction between teachers and students. However, by reading a large amount of literature available, it finds that almost all the studies focus on the field of questioning categories and strategies of asking questions, paying little attention to the study of appropriateness in questionings. After an investigation of questionnaire and observations on lectures, it notices that some conventional questionings may cause their meanings being narrowed or broadened to some degree, as well as the existence of multi choices for pointing message. And this result in the passive responds or wrong answers for students, such as silence and irrelevant answers in class. On the hearer-centered point of view, it analyzes the pragmatic looseness in classroom questionings with the help of conversational implicature, presupposition and politeness principle, discussing its forms of expressions and the reasons for pragmatic missing, in an effort to illustrate how to fulfill its pragmatic enrichment to improve the validity of questionings.
