| 摘 要： | 在英国文学画廊中 ,爱玛应有其显著地位。本文通过分析爱玛形象 ,论述了简·奥斯丁是如何打破西方传统小说中正面人物完美无缺的传统 ,运用内心观察使爱玛性格中的自以为是、自相矛盾等得以展现 ,使人物性格在不同发展阶段上得以前后对照 ,从而成功地塑造了一个虽不完美、但惹人喜欢的女主人公形象

| Abstract: | Through the analysis of the character of Emma,this thesis illustrates how Jane Austen broke the tradition of a perfect hero or heroine in western literature and created an imperfect but lovely heroine,that is,the use of internal observation.The arrogance and inconsistency in Emma are explored and the development of the character is revealed by comparison. |
