| 摘 要： | 从表面上看,五四新文化运动是一次配合着中西之争的古今之争,但究其实质,它只是以一种简化的方式将中国的大传统扩展到小传统之中。由于传统儒学的实用理性与西方文明的科学精神有一定相关性,新文化运动的领袖们虽然表面是打倒孔家店,但实际上其揭橥的科学旗帜主要来源于中国大传统的实用理性。正因为此,虽然新文化运动的领袖们力图进行伦理的变革,但最终并没有改变中华民族精神中注重实用理性的痼疾。

| Abstract: | At first sight the May 4th Movement is a competition between the old and the new that cooperated with a competition between the West and China.But in fact,it is expanding Big Tradition into Small Tradition in China by a simplifying way.Although the leaders of New Cultural Movement wanted to fight down Conficians,the flag of science they handed up originated from the pragmatic reason of Chinese Big Tradition,and it is because there is something connected between the pragmatic reason of Chinese tradition and the scientific spirit of the Western civilization.In the end,although the leaders of New Cultural Movement did their best to reform Chinese ethic,they did not change the old disease of paying more attention to pragmatic reason in Chinese ethos. |
