| 摘 要： | 旧金山中华化中心建立于1965年，是一个主要基于社区的非盈利性组织，其目的是促进美国对中国和中美艺术、历史，化的理解和欣赏。在旧金山唐人街和其它美国的华人社区，中国新年的庆典并不能理解为中国化的直接移植。由于他们社会环境和物质条件的不同，这些地方性的庆典已经变得各具特色。唐人街的庆典活动不仅有直接来源于中国的古老习俗，也包含了一些对于美国的其他化的适应性变化。
