| Abstract: | The paper presents and specifies the definition, principle and classification of search engine. It also points out some shortcomings of the present search engines. According to the shortcomings, it gives some advise for improvement. Then, a kind of meta search engine based on classified catalog is devised and explained here. Finally it makes an assessment of the engine. |
