| Abstract: | This advocacy by Mencius is an important contribution to ancient Chinese theory of literature. "Understanding Authors' Intention with Readers' Perception" stresses both readers' "detection" and authors' "trains of thoughts" with the word "Understanding" outlining a complex process in literature. To avoid subjective conjecture,we should make comments on literary figures in terms of their ideas and proposition. It is therefore believed that at present Mencius advocacy is still of great significance. |
